Support The London FBU Hardship Fund
The FBU in London commenced action short of strike on 24th September 2010 in which FBU London members removed all goodwill, including a ban on overtime working.
On the 4th October 2010 the action short of strike was escalated to include, A ban on all temporary promotion and acting up for those attached to the current 9/15 shift pattern.
London FBU members are currently receiving deductions of salaries from 20% to 60% for taking part in action short of strike whilst maintaining their agreed contracts of employment; this is nothing more than bullying and harassment in an attempt to divide the workforce.
As you can imagine the Brigades decision to unlawfully deduct FBU members salaries will impact on those significantly, you will also be aware that London members took their first day of strike on Saturday 23rd Oct which commenced at 10am and concluded at 6pm (8hrs), with further strike dates to come on 1st Nov, 8am-6pm (8hrs), 5th and 6th Nov, commencing 10am on the 5th and concluding at 0900hrs on the 7th Nov 2010 (47hrs).
We would encourage donations to be made into the account below;
The FBU London Region hardship details are as follows;
Lloyds TSB
Sort Code 30-94-57

All payments should be made payable to the “Hardship fund” and paid into the above account.
In the run up to Christmas London FBU members will be losing considerable amounts from their wage packets therefore financial assistance is vitally important. However, equally important are that messages of support get through to our comrades in London.
Please make every effort to write messages of support from your Branch. See below for a link of London Branch’s.
